Agustín Lara

Agustín Lara (1897-1970) was a Mexican composer and musician, author of numerous songs that sounded, during the 20th century, when they were initially published, all over the world; and that's how they sound now too. Also known as "el flaco de oro" or "el músico poeta", he makes up, along with some other Mexicans, the "hard core" that shaped the twentieth century Mexican bolero.

Thus, it takes more than the fingers of two hands to count the number of his famous musical themes, among which we highlight "Solamente una vez", "Piensa en mí", "Pecadora", "Aquellos ojos verdes", and " Granada".

He has been equally widely covered by a long line of top-notch performers throughout our little world.
