Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) was a German Baroque musician. Coming from an outstanding family of musicians, being the most prominent member of the same on a musical level, he is considered a master of counterpoint and baroque music, a fact that can be appreciated through many of his compositions, widely heard in the present.
