El lazarillo de Tormes

Short novel written in the transition period between Renaissance literature and the Spanish "Siglo de Oro", anonymous author.

First and most significant example of what is known as "picaresque novel". In essence, the worst vices of the human being are mentioned in this novel, which delves into the tricks that we sometimes use to achieve our goals, in a very funny and airy way, everything is said. In this way the work reaches a universal and timeless character.

Much has been its influence in the media, an influence that is particularly reflected in the 1959 film of the same name directed by César Fernández Ardavín and in the animated television miniseries created by Pedro Alonso Pablos, in addition to the animated film by Juanba Berasategi, also homonymous.
