Francisco Tárrega
Francisco Tárrega (Villarreal, Castellón, November 21, 1852 - Barcelona, December 15, 1909) was a Spanish composer and guitarist. According to various sources, at an early age he had his eyes damaged and was oriented towards music.
Francisco Tárrega is, perhaps, the most important composer that Spain has given to the world, and an excellent guitarist. His compositions "Recuerdos de la Alhambra", "Capricho árabe", others, and even the short piece "Adelita" confirm it.
So much so that, since their copyright has stepped into the public domain, various companies have plundered their songs, as is the case of Oscar Mayer, who made a series of ads for television based on his "Recuerdos de la Alhambra", or Nokia, which took its famous but already past main tone for mobile phones from his composition "Great Waltz". The first notes of this work are those that played around the world thanks to -or because of- Nokia.
