Frank Lloyd Wright

American architect and engineer, whose work was built during the first half of the XX century. He is considered the archetype of the successful architect and the creator of many architectural typologies like the prairie house.

He started working for third-party studios, first at Joseph Lyman Silsbee's studio, then at Louis Sullivan, one of the main figures of the Chicago school. During this time Frank helped Louis in the duty of designing the famous skyscrapers of Chicago. But Louis declined to build houses as he considered them "minor works", so Frank started accepting every single house commission Louis rejected. Frank was able to create his famous "prairie house" concept for individual houses, a concept which is strictly tied to American architecture.

Among the buildings he designed we can mention Falling Water, the house built on top of a falling water, and the Museum of Modern Art of New York.
