Kandinsky
Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944) was a Russian painter and art theorist who stood out for promoting abstract and expressionist art.
To do this, he created, from the 1910s (remember, three years earlier, in 1907, Picasso's Les Demoiselles d'Avignon had been painted) a series of well-known abstract-expressionist works and widely disseminated theoretical essays on art, mainly talking about simple forms and their way of being articulated, as well as the effect they have on the viewer.
It is, together with Picasso, one of the main diffusers of the expressionist and abstract art, although perhaps his work is partially hidden by the star of the Malaga painter, who took the first step towards the journey to abstraction with the aforementioned work Les Demoiselles d'Avignon.
