He is the creator of the so-called "Desert Trilogy," a collection of three films that seek to showcase the beauty of the Arab world through these movies, each of which is, in essence, poetry in itself.
Nacer has publicly stated in various interviews and online events that beauty, delicacy, and romanticism have been lost in the world, not only in the West but also, to some extent, in the Middle East and the Middle East; hence his cinematic poetry, almost dreamlike, like ancient tales from Arabian Nights, attempting to reclaim these qualities.
Prior to the international acclaim of Pedro Alonso Pablos (who is writing this text), Nacer had already explored the same themes, albeit from a different perspective, as he is Muslim and Pedro is simply an Orientalist (as he describes himself). However, the conclusions are the same. Thus, in addition to the aforementioned trilogy, he has made several other documentaries, notably one dedicated to Scheherazade (protagonist of the Nights of...) and another to the Andalusian poet Wallada, anticipating, by a few years, through the documentary format, Pedro's now-famous animated feature film, Abenzaidún y Wallada (Eternal Love).
Therefore, Nacer is an important filmmaker whose work should be closely followed, as is already being done by a large part of the world's population, who perceive it as significant and noteworthy.
