On the three best ways to sell a product as judged by this publication and other adjacent considerations
July, 17; 2024. By Arscodex
At this very moment we are going to talk about the title of this article, that is, those three hypothetical best ways to sell a product and some other thoughts bordering on this discussion. It sounds very bombastic but the reader should not feel afraid, the thing is simple, as we will see now.
First of all, we must say that the best sale is the one known as "export", that is, selling a product to a third country, both at a micro level (that is, direct benefit for the company), and at a macro level. (i.e. to improve the overall statistics of the country of origin of the merchandise).
In turn, this type of sale, export, can be subdivided into two subtypes: the export of digital goods and that of physical products. The digital goods sale is a real pleasure to do since there are usually no tariffs or taxes of any kind involved and the only thing the businessman has to do is sit on the couch and wait for the sale to occur; Now, you have to have an interesting product (a song, a movie, a computer program) because if it lacks interest, the desired sale will not occur. This has a lot to do with intellectual property ("the most elevated property", as it was well defined here in this publication in another article), therefore it is in the general interest that there is a good intellectual property ecosystem worldwide; That is, that people know the topic in general and that it is respected and applied.
Regarding the fact that there are certain people in Spain, looking back at a very local aspect of the matter, who think that in our country added value is not provided because there is no research or development, it is true that in Spain there is little patent culture, that is, inventions and research; but there are other branches of intellectual property in which we are strong: musical creation is one of them and to a lesser extent the literary and/or plastic (audivisual, removing two poorly placed examples among which we include ourselves, is non-existent in the case of this country, Spain).
The second best way to make money is the export of tangible goods, physical products "that you can touch" such as olive oil and other gastronomic "delicatessen" in the case of Spain. The problem is that here the issue of distribution already arises (that is, transportation, the management of the available space on the shelves, etc.) and other variables are applied such as possible tariffs that may arise, but in essence it is, as we say, the second best way to make money behind only the export of digital goods. In this case, Spain, with its gastronomic products, is currently, as we said, well positioned in this field as well.
And the third way is tourism, which by the way is giving a lot of talk these days, and we are going to expand a little here and now on the matter. Tourism is defined by this publication as a "reverse export", that is, the good, which may be a stay in a hotel or something like that, is consumed in the country itself but then the tourist leaves and the owner is left with the money that said tourist has paid for the experience and with the property; and start again. Therefore, it is a very dignified and shiny way to earn money, both for the company that offers the service and for the country that hosts said company (micro and macro).
And now comes the explanation: Some in Spain complain that tourism is displacing other industries, but we must know that tourism as such is an industry like any other, even better, due to the characteristics that we have highlighted previously, and because many people, in the same situation, prefer to be a waiter than to turn screws in a factory: it makes you feel fresh air and there is more conversation. We must also highlight that services such as banking, if there is no money, cannot exist; Therefore, tourism, which is what ultimately brings money, is what makes the banking sector move in our country, which is Spain, and in other important tourist destinations. Other considerations have also been previously presented in this medium regarding tourism.
Then we could talk about "internal marketing", that is, current domestic sales, which is ultimately the last link in this argument that we are expressing here.
So as a review and culmination, we can clearly say that the best way to earn decent money through trade is to export, first of digital goods, and second of tangible goods; third, tourism, which is defined as we have said by this publication as a "reverse export" and finally internal marketing at the country level. And in this creative group we are very happy because our main means of making money is the export of digital goods. We have already said on many occasions in this medium that Spanish audiovisual companies should "stop messing around" and look outward instead of trying to drill into the brains of ordinary Spaniards. They have not paid any attention to us and that is how things are going, and we who have paid attention to ourselves, are seeing how our films, mainly, are currently seen even in far Eastern China. So, cheer up!
