Just a few days ago, on the 18th of this month of August 2024, the world-renowned French actor Alain Delon passed away, apparently surrounded by his closest relatives, in what was his last residence (a beautiful country house located on an estate in the town of Douchy-Montcorbon).

The twilight of his life has been pronounced. After having grown old and having lost his status as the "official handsome man" of youth and plenitude, and with a good handful of millions amassed during his time of splendor, he has apparently had to deal with disputes among his children over his own inheritance, while he was still alive. Thus, in recent statements he said (more or less) that he was not sorry to leave this world, having already achieved everything, and having to endure an era (the current one) different from that which witnessed his cinematic success, among other accurate pearls. So much so that the actor and producer had requested euthanasia up to two times previously.

Anyway. But it is not a good idea to tarnish the life of this great actor by only looking at his later years: let us remember him for what he was, the European and the world of cinema in the mid-twentieth century handsome male-star, a great actor and producer with a full life of success.
