The Pritzker Architecture Prize, the coveted award given annually to prestigious architects, has been awarded this year 2025 to Liu Jiakun, a Chinese architect who is very committed to collective housing and the way we interact with it.
Thus, the winner of the prize has a long history of designing collective housing as already mentioned above, mainly in China, where he has contributed his way of seeing things to improve the daily lives of those who live there.
He has also rubbed shoulders with other great "triple A" architects on several occasions as he has carried out work all over the world and not only dedicated to housing.
In short, a well-deserved and, surely, desired award; therefore, a very good way to highlight architecture not only as art, but as a solution for people's daily lives.
