Perfume: The Story of a Murderer to reach movie theaters

One of the novels that not so many time ago crushed the top book sales internationally, Das Parfum, written by Patrick Süskind, is being shot as a film in Barcelona under the english name Perfume, The Story of a Murderer.
The movie, whose start of production was anounced a few months earlier, will be directed by Tom Tykwer, german director, and will be performed by Ben Wishaw, Alan Rickman, Dustin Hoffman and Rachel Hurd-Wood, among other actors and actresses. It is surprising, though, that this might be the first adaptation of the novel for the film industry, and, as we say, might sound strange mainly because the book was a hit when it was released and we don't really know why it didn't was adapted before.
But, anyway, this will be a great opportunity to enjoy a great written classic but now as a movie
