Prince of Persia

Global video game franchise, started in 1989 with the publication of the original game by Brøderbund and developer Jordan Mechner. After this, and due to its success, many versions have been made for various platforms and even a live-action film produced by Disney and starring Jake Gyllenhaal has been made.

But the success of the first edition of the game lies in a combination of technical improvements that it presented in various fields since, although it was a platform game, the developer strove, using the technique known as rotoscoping, to achieve a very fluid aniation for the main character, an effect never seen before in the field of video games (it is said that Mechner recorded his brother's movements to achieve it).

Furthermore, the platform genre offered a novelty, and it is that it presented various puzzles on static screens that had to be solved, which is why it made this genre evolve either.

Later versions of the game have been developed for almost all platforms.
