Roberta Williams
Roberta Heuer Williams (1953-) is an American video game designer, who has to her credit the design of the first graphical adventure or old interactive fiction genre, Mystery House, together with her husband Ken. The game was an immediate success and thanks to it they were able to found their company, On-Line Systems, in 1980, which later became Sierra On-Line (a name a little better known to everyone).
In addition to this game, she herself or through her company has designed many others such as King's Quest (the first graphic adventure) saga or Leisure suit Larry saga for adults. Unfortunately these games are now in an indefinite limbo since they are not being reissued much, due to the fact that the rights have suffered a series of swings, and we sincerely hope that new versions of all these classics will soon emanate again.
