The son of Mexican immigrants in the United States, the third of eight brothers, he has managed to build a career as a film director from the lowest rung, as it should be, and rising like foam to become a director appreciated by a large part of the world's film buffs.
He produced and directed his first feature film, El mariachi; we have already mentioned that this is how stars are made, from the bottom and with tenacity, so no objections to all this. Then came his friendship with the director Quentin Tarantino, with whom we assume he shares certain "cinematic affiliations" (let's leave it there): that is, a lot of violence, shocking dialogues, a rather acidic humor, and a certain ease in combining music with celluloid, which make this director a great of cinema, knowing that with luck he has not even finished his film career, since he is still young. Among other titles we can mention the brilliant adaptation of the comic Sin City (not suitable for everyone's stomachs due to its high level of violence, as we have previously said).
He also collaborated with Antonio Banderas in the Spy Kids saga, offering less risky and more family-friendly proposals, because you have to do everything in this life.
