Saturnino Calleja

Saturnino Calleja (1853-1915) was a Spanish editor and philanthropist, founder of Editorial Calleja, who for many years dedicated himself to adapting or translating stories from all over the world to initiate reading to Spanish and Latin American children.

His publishing house was a burgeoning business publishing collectible storybooks and for a time enjoyed great popularity wherever his readings were released.
