Marcus Vitruvius Pollio was a Roman architect who lived slightly before the birth of Christ. Although only one of his works is still standing (which is not a small thing since it has been a long time since he lived), in the Renaissance his written work De Architectura was rediscovered by the architects of the time, which helped the emergence of the architecture of the Renaissance, or the return to the classical orders.

His book, a treatise with ten volumes, is a must read for anyone who calls himself an architect, as well as for anyone who likes art, making a portrait of the state of the art at the time in the field of architecture.
