Berta Jayo

Berta Jayo
Her creations, her images, are "conceptual" alterations of certain existing elements that take avant-garde art to a new stage, since they leave postmodernism behind (mainly abstraction, a path already taken and an artistic door that is closed right now) to return to a figurative but striking and at times disturbing look.
Her retouchings include: coloring Gothic cathedrals, nuns with colorful habits, heart-shaped hot air balloons, etc, etc, etc.
Berta is the heir to that conceptual art perhaps initiated by Juan Hidalgo and continued by Jaume Plensa, in this case it is figurative digital art in general, using the various technologies available to carry out her jobs. She has exhibited in prestigious venues including shows screened in New York City.
