Let's break down, as a non-exhaustive example, the current situation of these three actors among all the media; in this case Youtube is an American company, Spotify is of Swedish origin (I think), and RTVE is Spanish.
Well, there it is Pliski's Youtube profile. The platform was kind enough to give him 1,200 followers by "moving" among its users that little animated video "El baile del gorila" by Pedro Alonso Pablos (this video has more than 900,000 views, according to Youtube, on that same platform). Next to it, in the same service, we have a published musical track, the soundtrack of the short film "Las metamorfosis de Ovidio", which has a "whopping" 30 or 40 plays in total. We can already see how this same platform is managing the presence of the writer's work.
Then we continue with Spotify, that company that said it had, in one of its past slogans, "all the music in the world." Well, they did well to change the slogan because they are missing a piece of the puzzle that in the opinion of the writer is significant today; it is the catalog of Pedro Alonso Pablos' music, as we have already mentioned. That same musical track, the soundtrack of the short film "Las metamorfosis de Ovidio", does not have a significant number of plays according to that platform, on that platform.
And finally, RTVE, between promises of future publication and certain political movements and swings, does not have any permission to publish anything that Pedro Alonso Pablos has released so far.
Well, I know that demanding is a tricky subject because, of course, you can't go around demanding, or rather, each person must measure their strength when it comes to demanding; but, in this case, if I dedicate myself to demanding and my demands are not met, those who have not met will have to assume the consequences, that is, assume that these companies, once full of egos and triumphs, are missing today the main piece of that puzzle that makes up the cultural manifestations in general of our small world, they are missing the musical catalogue of the one who writes.
But without bitterness, there is no problem. We will continue like this until one of the two parties gives in. And I will guarantee you that although I can soften my message a little, it will not be this side that bends first.
