AI threatens to completely change cinema as we knew it

It hasn't even been a year since this company, through its animation production and distribution arm (Pliski), released its first feature film made with AI, El Megatoro (in September 2025); now, YouTube feeds for people all over the world are flooded with AI videos.
In some cases, this directly impacts animation, but in others, it also affects live-action because, as we've already mentioned, with a few hundred dollars and online applications like Runway or Kling AI, you can create your own films in any style, whether animated or emulating reality, with astonishing ease.
Currently, on YouTube, we can find everything from entire 10- or 20-minute episodes of Arabian Nights, to hyperrealistic, apocryphal interpretations of Star Wars, to fan-made adaptations of Princess Mononoke, and so on. Furthermore, many of these are still under copyright, and the copyright holders aren't actively pursuing them.
This will, of course, bring about changes. A new ecosystem will emerge where creating realistic sets, with complex shots, and so forth, will be a matter of seconds through these creation platforms. Thus, it's possible that, from the production side, sets, and even actors, will be almost completely, or at least partially, replaced on screen. This will also allow aspiring filmmakers, with just a few hundred dollars, to see their dreams of making movies fulfilled. Likewise, it's certain that from now on, there will be more emphasis on the irreplaceable: stories, everything related to something that cannot be replicated by AI. And perhaps, just perhaps, the art world will shift towards a demand for physical media, since everything created on a screen is susceptible to being artificial and synthetic.
In short, ladies and gentlemen, this is the reality; we're not saying the world of cinema is going to end, but rather that it will change; we're certain that new opportunities will arise as well. So, best of luck to everyone, especially aspiring filmmakers, because we now hold incredible potential in the palm of our hands.
