Pedro Alonso Pablos presents his new film, El Megatoro

It's his tenth feature film, and this is a milestone, of course, so the writer is very happy about it.
The subject of the film is about bullfighting, more specifically about a fantastic bull, this El Megatoro, whose official synopsis is as follows: "A giant brave bull that hides in the mountains is desolating the inhabitants of a Castilian village." The writer's intention is not to enter the "bullfighting yes, bullfighting no" debate, which has been taking place in waves in Spanish and international public opinion for centuries, but rather an attempt to create a cinematic myth in the style of King Kong or Godzilla: to give them a "little brother."
Furthermore, Pedro points out that the image of bullfighting—not so much bullfighting itself, but its very image (posters, various imagery)—fascinates him quite a bit, although, as he said here, Pedro "isn't much into bullfighting."
The fighting bull is an imposing, serious animal, with which we all identify, and of course, it's a symbol of the country of Spain where I was born (yes, the writer).
The film "addresses" many philosophical considerations on the subject, but Pedro states that it's just a film, and that it's a bit violent, as is the tradition of cinema in general, so he hopes no one complains too much about the whole thing. In any case, since there are no comments about my films, I assume this trend will continue, so there won't be any major problems.
As a novelty, we add that the animated film, its visual part, is 99% made by what are known as AI tools. And Pedro thinks that until AI enslaves us all, great things will be possible with it; ha ha ha.
So, all that's left is to enjoy the movie, those who can, because I warn you, it's for ages 13 and up, as a bit of a change from my previous work. Here's to you!
