And we can mention a few of them. To begin this unordered list, we'll mention the animated film produced by this studio, My surprising and fabulous imaginary friend (which yours truly, Pedro Alonso Pablos, made some years ago). But we can continue with the work of Isao Takahata (co-founder of Studio Ghibli) and, on a more Hispanic level (note that this style is quite popular in the Hispanic world), Antonio Mercero with his highly emotional series, among which we highlight Verano azul (Blue Summer). José Luis Moro and his only film, Katy la oruga, also make this list.
Off the menu, we'll also highlight some other films with even religious themes, such as Marcelino, pan y vino.
These are, in short, highly emotional films, which typically rely heavily on music, as we've mentioned, since the directors have skillfully chosen the magnificent compositions that accompany their work, leaving no one unmoved.
These are the kinds of films that, ultimately, bring out the "child within us" and tap into that cinematic vein, as we've said.
The general public, and the readers of this publication in particular, should know that we hold these productions in high esteem, as they speak directly to the core of our hearts as viewers, and emotion in cinema, it goes without saying, is paramount.
Therefore, we must highlight this cinematic trend, whether animated or live-action, as it has brought us all great moments as audience members. And we hope it will continue to do so.
