A television series, produced by Netflix, arrives at the newsroom of this medium, which fills us with hope, since the Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro, and an old acquaintance of this publication, has once again hit the mark with his latest work, his "Cabinet of curiosities".

In essence, it is what we all expected. Guillermo sponsors a good number of directors for Netflix and each one signs a chapter in this horror series that, after Halloween already, but approaching the cold winter (when the trees begin to lose their leaves and acquire that gloomy appearance), will delight the followers of this genre that is main in cinema and TV, as we all know. In it we can find references to film (such as that of the horror master Alfred Hitchcock) or other series such as "Tales from the Crypt", etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

The name itself brings us closer to that Victorian world with which Del Toro is associated, that world of romanticism, which bore such good fruit, from which we can mention another American writer such as Washington Irving, who also lived around that time.

For Netflix, this production is also a milestone, since, to be frank, we were a bit tired of so many filler movies and, as we have mentioned before, the mixture of auteur cinema with the aforementioned platform's producer muscle is the way to go, offering winning titles such as these chapters, this very Victorian "Cabinet", which is undoubtedly another landmark for del Toro's film career, and something very worth saving in the case of Netflix.
