Spain breaks tourist record in 2024 and the cultural offering is on track: museums are at full capacity

The specific data on foreign tourists who have visited Spain in 2024 has recently been released: according to official sources, more than 94 million travellers entered this country on the given date. This is the highest figure in the historical series for Spain and also one of the best figures globally.
And we must bear in mind that, for a country of approximately 46 million inhabitants, the fact that 94 million tourists have entered during the past year means that this figure, visitors, doubles the population of our country, which in statistical and geographical terms represents a success of the Spanish tourist offer that puts it ahead of -almost- any other that may exist on the face of the earth.
This is linked to the strong feeling of hospitality that the Spanish population exudes, of kindness, of "good vibes" and desire to have a good time, etc., as has already been commented on many occasions in this medium and as has been corroborated by the number of visitors that our country receives.
In this sense, the museums and other Spanish artistic and cultural offerings are doing their best; for example, we can mention the data (we don't want to limit ourselves exclusively to the damned "data", but of course, they are a very reliable indicator of how things are going) of visitors to the Prado Museum (home of most of the work of Velázquez and Goya) which has been very good, better than the previous year, and so with all: the modern art museums of Barcelona, the different Picasso museums that are distributed throughout Spain, etc., etc., etc.
Without a doubt, all this is very good news, and we are pleased about it in this media, which has contributed, contributes and will contribute its grain of sand to all this (let us remember that the author released at least one animated feature film last year that strongly encourages the promotion of Spain abroad: Abenzaidún y Wallada).
