To make something beautiful; or beauty, the goal of art

But what does "make something beautiful" mean? Where is beauty? How can we measure it? Well, ladies and gentlemen, this is all about one of the clearest objectives of art: the exaltation of beauty, as was traditionally the case until the emergence of what is known as "modern art." But today, hehe, hehe, it's neither modern (remember, this movement is over), nor is it art (oh, it doesn't pursue beauty).
At some point in our lives, after reading a poem, seeing a certain painting, or even watching a movie or a fragment of it, we've all said, either to ourselves or to everyone: How beautiful! Well, that's what beauty is, a feeling that overwhelms us when we realize we're looking at something interesting, graceful; beautiful, in short.
To give two poorly put examples, we'll mention, in this list of two elements that by no means attempts to be exhaustive, Ovid's Metamorphoses and Jorge Manrique's Coplas por la muerte de su padre.
In the first case, we find ourselves before a succession of allegories that will fill our souls with good feelings; and in the second, a deep sensation of melancholy will flood our being. These are great works that are, among other things, but above all, beautiful.
Off the menu, the writer—yes, the film producer and editor of this publication—wants to mention that feeling that overwhelms every person in this world when they encounter the work of Pedro Alonso Pablos. I've sometimes been told that those who begin to appreciate it go through a kind of micro-existential crisis.
Well, therein lies the pursuit of beauty by Art. We all need to get moving again and appreciate this aspect of art, and stop being so obsessed with graffiti and various other uglinesses of "modern art" and focus on what's important, namely, the beauty of art.
