Netflix drops out of the race to bid for Warner

It has recently come to light that, after Paramount Skydance made a very attractive counteroffer for Warner Bros., Netflix, which had also bid, withdrew from the potential acquisition.
Netflix itself confirmed this, stating in a press release that the offer was no longer attractive at that price.
Therefore, it is expected that the recently formed conglomerate Paramount Skydance, associated with the son of the Oracle founder, will acquire the film company, home to, among other intellectual properties, Superman and Batman.
Netflix also considered the potential antitrust issues that could arise in this move; issues that are not expected to occur with Paramount Skydance, given its smaller size.
So, in the end, Warner Bros.' asking price had to be raised slightly, as we recently discussed in this publication.
