Comic book fans in Spain and Europe are in luck: the famous San Diego Comic-Con, that prestigious gathering of comic book fans together with publishers and comic book artists, will begin its international expansion with an event in Malaga. Yes, this is true, it is not a joke, so fasten your seatbelts and let's all get ready to head to this town in southern Europe.
Without a doubt, it is an honour for Malaga, that Andalusian, Spanish and European city, to serve as the setting for these "first holidays" that the well-known American comic book characters such as Spiderman, Batman or Superman are going to take, who will undoubtedly "delight" children and adults at this historic comic book event.
In addition, we are sure that these same characters are going to enjoy themselves with the good atmosphere that is exuded in the aforementioned Andalusian city.
The presentation of this event will take place next week with Santiago Segura as "master of ceremonies", a great fan of comics as well as a renowned filmmaker, and will feature the presence of, among others, Alex de la Iglesia; both directors mentioned are also old acquaintances of this publication.
The event will be attended by some other personalities from other fields, such as the current president of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, Juan Manuel Moreno Bonilla, and others.
We have been saying for some time now from this media that Spain, and especially the south of it, is a more than perfect setting for holding any cultural event or of any kind. If anyone wants to go deeper into the subject, they can read other previous articles in this publication such as "Malaga, the Andalusian province where everything is possible", or even watch the film dedicated to Andalusia in general that the author released last year, Abenzaidún y Wallada, which features the voice of Inerthia, a singer and voice actress from Malaga.
All of this represents an exceptional opportunity to enjoy American comics, superheroes and other iconic characters, on southern European, Spanish and Andalusian soil, the city of Malaga.
