The Sorolla Museum in Madrid—the city’s dedicated space for appreciating and admiring the work of Joaquín Sorolla—has partially reopened its doors. As of yesterday, October 15, the museum's new extension is open to the public; however, the house-studio remains closed due to ongoing construction.

This extension incorporates several adjacent spaces acquired to increase the museum's overall operational capacity, including new exhibition galleries and a small auditorium. The project was carried out by the firm Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos.

The painter's residence, meanwhile, is still undergoing renovation work, which includes the restoration of the garden and various improvements to enhance accessibility.
