The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, commonly abbreviated as UNESCO, has resolved a few moments ago, at its 14th meeting of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Committee that is being held these days in Bogotá, Colombia, the inscription of Talavera-Puente ceramics on its list of Intangible Heritage. The candidature was presented jointly with the ceramics of Puebla and Tlaxcala (Mexico).

This fact represents the culmination of the long-standing effort that the Tierras de Cerámica Association (of Talavera de la Reina) has carried out to finally produce this inscription, which also draws the pottery from the neighboring town of El Puente del Arzobispo.

Although the candidacy was weakening since it had been at a point of pause for several years, perhaps, and only perhaps, the "immaterial help" that has meant for the candidacy the fact that in 2017, two years ago, the film producer Pedro Alonso Pablos would be pleased to create the animated short called Fabulillas, with the ceramics of Puente (included in the candidacy), animating the most representative images of this artistic manifestation, it seems that it has also served for something, of which we are extremely happy in this media.

Enjoy it.
