In principle, an "imaginary wonder" is an incredible element that does not exist in reality, but that has been described by the skilled mind of some human being. It is a concept of course closely related to cinema, the seventh art, since it is this medium that is especially indicated to describe and catalyze the existence - real or imaginary - of a wonder of this type.
But let's start at the beginning. Every self-respecting film buff will have seen, in one of the films about King Kong (the reader will see the path this article is taking) that the protagonist filmmaker tried to call the giant gorilla "the eighth wonder of the world." Well, in our opinion, it is also the "first imaginary wonder" since Kong, as we all already know, does not exist in reality at the moment.
Therefore, these imaginary wonders are concepts, ideas, amazing, incredible, capable of being described especially in films.
Following in the wake of all this, we would like to include in this list Triskipolis, the city of the elves, we do not know what number it will occupy, but it is certainly an imaginary wonder, a city that does not exist in reality - at the moment - but which is clearly described in the film of the same name.
It is a shame but referring now to the 7 wonders of the ancient world, we can certify that only one of them remains standing, it is the pyramid of Giza; the rest have been dragged by the dust of the earth to its very essence. However, in a modern scenario, where, for example, UNESCO prioritizes the granting of inclusions in its list of "intangible goods" (such as flamenco), it is more logical that those "imaginary wonders" that are difficult to eliminate since they are part of our imagination; that is, they are found in the heads of the people of this world, tend to appear.
So, seasoned reader, if you are also a filmmaker, you can now start thinking about how to bring new "imaginary wonders" like those mentioned into this world. They will be welcome.
